Raventós i Blanc Winemaker Dinner 23.10.2017


Anna Booth from Raventós i Blanc will join us on Monday 23rd October at 7PM to present their wines and the philosophy behind them. The winery has long been a pioneer in Spanish sparkling wine production, and in 2012 they shocked the local community by being the first producer to abandon the DO Cava, to launch their own geographic appellation of Conca del Riu Anoia.

During the evening we will have the opportunity to taste all their wines, including some backvintages and a sample of Pepe Raventós personal production. We’ve paired a five course menu for the wines.

The Raventós family is inextricably linked to their land, soil and history; They have been cultivating the same vineyards since 1497. The family also boast a long history of making sparkling wine, as Josep Raventós Fatjó was the first one in Spain to produce a sparkling wine with the second fermentation in the bottle. In 2012 Manuel and Pepe decided to leave the Cava appellation, to pursue their dream of a more location and soil specific appellation of Conca del Riu Anoia.

Raventós I Blanc wines are defined by a rich minerality and a crisp acidity, which convey a sense of history, vintage and origin.

 The price for the evening is 125€ per person, including seven wines and a five course menu tailored for the wines.
